Placer County trek
What: The seventh annual Art Studio Trek will be an open studio tour featuring an "Art and Chocolate" theme. Twenty-one artists in the Rocklin, Granite Bay and Roseville areas will open their studios, demonstrate art techniques and offer their artwork for sale. Visitors will be eligible for door prizes and original art.

A day for children
What: "Color Me Happy" is the theme of the 24th annual Kids Day in the Park in Rancho Cordova. There will be free art activities, petting barn, train rides and other entertainment. There will also be free health screenings and parent resources offered by more than 100 exhibitors.

Tasty truck convoy
What: The mobile food truck festival known as SactoMoFo is set to return to the W Street farmers market location in Sacramento. Along with a beer garden and live music, SactoMoFo 6 is touting "all-star" food trucks from throughout Northern California, including the Bay Area eateries Hapa SF and We Sushi.

What: The Jewish Heritage Festival will take place in midtown Sacramento, featuring food, activity booths, bounce house and live music.

Surf 'n' bowl
What: Surf and retro instrumental rock will be performed at Capitol Bowl in West Sacramento. Bands scheduled to perform are the Lava Pups, the Retronauts and the VibroCounts. The event is open to all ages.
