Re "Perry weighs in on Ohman" and "The Bee's response" (Letters, April 27): There is no doubt that regulations were not enforced in the West, Texas explosion, and I guess that a governor should set an example of law compliance. Yet, some people who draw cartoons should at least let the dirt settle on people's graves before trying to win a Pulitzer and showing us how smart they really are.
We seem to think these days that if we wait just one or two days, someone else may get an exclusive and then someone else gets that job at the New York Times. There is no decency any more. The cartoon could have waited a few days. It did not need to run this week to make your point, unless you are playing politics.
