Re "Perry weighs in on Ohman" and "The Bee's response" (Letters, April 27): I grew up in West, Tex. I lost friends and classmates in that explosion. My friend lost her whole house and everything in it. I was highly offended by the cartoon that was an attempt to make fun of the governor of Texas by using the horrible tragedy that happened in my hometown.
I think the people of West deserve the apology for trying to use humor in light of our tragedy. It doesn't matter is you like or don't like Gov. Rick Perry, but it was totally unacceptable to use something so horrible where lives were lost just for humor. West needs prayers not offending cartoons!
