Secrecy of bills should tell you something shady is up

Re " 'Sponsors' of bills often in shadows" (Page A1, April 28): I read with appreciation and alarm. Clearly, there is a tight connection between lobbyists and elected representatives -- and the public is carefully excluded from knowing anything.

This practice is widespread at all levels across the nation. Only huge corporations and other special interests can afford the huge costs for this. The worst part of this are the lies, the sneakiness and the cloak of darkness. Anytime you need this much secrecy, you know something shady is happening. This is wrong and must be stopped.
