Visionary Integration Professionals, a Folsom-based information technology and managed-services firm, said it has been awarded a $1.1 million contract from the California Department of Finance.

Under the contract, VIP will provide enterprise program and project management services for the Financial Information System for California project.

The massive project aims to integrate numerous state functions – including accounting, budgeting, cash management and procurement operations – into a single system.

VIP has been involved in previous phases of the project.

"We are excited to continue supporting the state of California in its efforts to become more cost-effective and efficient," said Jonna Ward, VIP's founder and CEO.
