The average retail price of gasoline in the Sacramento area fell another 1.1 cents to $3.80 a gallon over the past week, according to national price tracker GasBuddy.com, which surveys 720 stations in the area.
Sacramento prices are now 25.4 cents lower than they were a year ago and 9.4 cents lower than a month ago.
Nationally, the average price of gas fell 1.6 cents over the past week to an average of $3.49 a gallon.
Gas prices have been falling slowly for more than a month due to steady supplies and a comparatively painless conversion to pricier spring/summer-blend gas. However, analysts warn that the trend might reverse itself this week.
