Using the long ball: Sacramento outfielders Shane Peterson and Michael Choice hit back-to-back home runs in the seventh inning, breaking a 1-1 tie and lifting the River Cats to a 4-1 victory over the Fresno Grizzlies at Chukchansi Park.

Gray's Mastery: River Cats starter Sonny Gray (3-1) had his best performance of the season, allowing one run on four hits while recording Sacramento's first complete game this year.

Back-to-back jacks: The back-to-back homers by Choice and Peterson marked the second time a pair of Cats hitters have gone back-to-back. Choice and Michael Taylor went back-to-back previously.

More Gray: Gray retired 15 of the last 17 hitters he faced and needed just 94 pitches for the complete game. He struck out six and walked two.

Check your watch: Wednesday's game clocked in at a speedy two hours, 15 minutes, the shortest game for the Cats this season.

Check your calendar: The River Cats return home Friday night for a four-game homestand against the Las Vegas 51s.

Today: River Cats LHP Andrew Werner (2-3, 8.78 ERA) vs. Fresno RHP Shane Loux (1-1, 4.61), 7:05 p.m., Chukchansi Park, Fresno.
