Running group to donate $10,000 to Boston victims

The Sacramento Running Association announced it will donate $10,000 to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

New executive director Ellen Moore said the money will be sent directly to The One Fund Boston that assists those affected by the tragedy.

The organization's signature event, the annual California International Marathon, has a fast, slightly downhill course, making it a favorite for runners trying to earn a Boston Marathon qualifying time. About 1,600 runners each year post a time in the CIM that qualifies for Boston, according to the SRA.
