US Airways will start seasonal nonstop service from Sacramento to Charlotte, N.C., and Philadelphia in May with connections to Europe.
We're glad to be able to offer these additional nonstop flights as we gear up for the busy spring and summer travel season, said John Wheat, director of airports for the Sacramento County Airport System, in a press release.
Charlotte nonstop service will be available Wednesday through Sunday beginning Sunday, expanding to daily service on May 23.
Philadelphia nonstop service will be initiate weekdays beginning May 23 and will expand to daily service beginning June 1.
Flight 276 from Sacramento to Charlotte departs at 10:59 p.m. and arrives at 6:40 a.m. Flight 376 from Sacramento to Philadelphia departs at 9:59 p.m. and arrives at 6:02 a.m.
Charlotte and Philadelphia are hub cities for US Airways, providing connections to international destinations such as Paris, Madrid and Rome.
