Regional Digest: Sac State baseball win streak ends at five games

Seattle scored in six different innings and held off a late charge by Sacramento State on Sunday to win 10-7 in Bellevue, Wash., Sac State reported.

The Hornets' winning streak ended at five games, but Sac State (29-19, 12-9 Western Athletic Conference) remained two games out of first place with six left. The Redhawks fell to 19-28 and 8-12.

• Kyle Attl hit a solo home run in the seventh inning to break a 4-4 tie, and visiting Cal State Northridge (29-18, 14-4 Big West Conference) went on to a 10-4 win over UC Davis (16-29, 3-15), UCD reported.

Sac State falls in softball

• Katee Wiley and Amanda Fitzsimmons hit two-run homers to lead visiting Idaho State (28-21, 14-4) to a 6-3 softball victory over Sac State (22-20, 7-8), Sac State reported.

The Hornets will be seeded fourth in the Big Sky tournament at Idaho State.

• Justine Vela hit Karli Sandoval with a pitch with the bases loaded in the eighth inning, giving host Long Beach State (35-20, 17-7 Big West) a 1-0 victory over UC Davis (22-27, 8-13), UCD reported.
