Re "Studios hope for blockbuster hits" (Page A1, May 3): Studios and music producers need to rein in the mouths of the artists. I watch movies and listen to music to escape from politics, not to be given the opinion of stars pushing authoritarianism.
I personally have a growing list of stars I simply will not watch or listen to including Ashley Judd, Madonna and Joy Behar. I will not go and pay to see a movie with them in it. I will change the channel on my television if they are on it.
I have programmed my remote to skip over NBC and ABC. If a sitcom says anything political, I stop watching. I let sponsoring advertisers know that I will no longer buy their products. The Sacramento Bee gives Hollywood top billing on page A-2 every day. Why? Do that many readers think Hollywood gossip and information deserves that much attention?
