Sacramento Channel 40 (KTXL), a Fox affiliate, has added Sabrina Rodriguez as an anchor to the station's 4:30 to 10 a.m. weekday news program.

She joins Paul Robins, Bethany Crouch and meteorologist Darren Peck in that time slot.

Rodriguez joined Channel 40 in March 2011 as a multimedia journalist. She previously worked as a weekend anchor and reporter in Bakersfield.

"FOX40 has given me a chance to showcase my unique style of storytelling and grow as a reporter," Rodriguez said. "I'm grateful to have the same opportunity to grow as an anchor on one of the smartest morning newscasts around."

KTXL is owned and operated by Tribune Broadcasting Co.
