Sacramento-based Downey Brand, which bills itself as the largest law firm in the Central Valley, and the WestMark Group strategic consulting firm will host another in a year-long series of programs on preserving the multi-generational family farm on May 16.
The free program "Planning for Change" will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Downey Brand offices at 621 Capitol Mall (18th floor) downtown.
Space is limited to 60 people.
The upcoming program will focus on planning or dealing with various changes in a family farm operation, including death of a family member, divorce and financial stress.
The yearlong series is titled "Keeping the Family Farm in the Family."
