Cats glance: Green, Thomas help River Cats beat Memphis to end three-game losing streak

Snap out of it: The visiting River Cats defeated Memphis 5-3 Thursday night to snap a three-game losing streak.

The color of money: Sacramento's Grant Green went 3 for 4 with two RBIs. His two-run double in the fourth inning was the River Cats' lone extra-base hit.

Dueling left-handers: Cats left-hander Justin Thomas (1-2) outdueled Memphis southpaw John Gast (3-1). Thomas allowed one run on six hits in six innings.

Great eight: Shane Peterson's RBI single in the third extended his season-high hitting streak to eight games.

Welcome to the club: Jeremy Barfield, called up from Double A to the River Cats on Wednesday, went 2 for 4 in his Triple-A debut.
