Homer happy: The River Cats got home runs from Michael Choice and Jeremy Barfield to help them win their second straight game over the Nashville Sounds, 6-5, at Greer Stadium, in Nashville, Tenn., on Sunday.
Welcome to the club: Barfield's two-run shot in the eighth was his first career Triple-A homer.
Werner's a winner: Andrew Werner turned in his second-straight quality start, picking up the win after allowing just two runs in six innings. He struck out six and walked two, allowing two solo homers.
Nakajima watch: Hiroyuki Nakajima, playing for the River Cats on a rehab assignment for the A's, had two singles in five at-bats. He is scheduled to play three straight games after getting the day off Saturday.
Keep it going: Shane Peterson doubled, extending his hitting streak to 11 games. Stephen Vogt has the River Cats' longest streak this year at 13 games.
