The family of 15-year-old Daria Clarke – the Rio Americano High School freshman known as "Dasha" who was last seen near the school about 10 a.m. Thursday – thinks she may have been lured away by someone she met online, her mother, Margie Clarke, said Sunday.

"We think somebody made her think he was her boyfriend," said Clarke. "She didn't share that with me. She told other people."

Daria Clarke is 5 foot 4 inches tall and weighs 195 pounds. She has blue eyes, freckles and sun-streaked brown hair, and she was wearing a black shirt, gray leggings and a royal blue Aeropostale sweatshirt when last seen. She also had a black and turquoise backpack, her mother said.

On Sunday, friends and family members gathered at the Clarke home in a show of support. "Teenagers sometimes think nobody cares," said her mother. "It's important she knows that people really do care."

On Thursday, Daria Clarke went to algebra class and was also seen on campus about 10 a.m. But when her mother arrived back at school to pick her up at 12:30 p.m., she was nowhere to be found, her mother said.

The 15-year-old does not carry a cellphone. Supporters have distributed leaflets in the American River Drive area near the school.

"The last thing she said was, 'Goodbye, Mom, I love you,' " said Clarke. "I hope on Mother's Day I get to hear that again."
