Davis lamb packer Superior Farms has chosen an Idaho-based beef industry veteran as its new CEO.
Rick Stott has been serving as executive vice president of business development for Agri Beef Co., headquartered in Boise, Idaho.
Over nearly 20 years, he also has served as president of Snake River Farms (a subsidiary of Agri Beef) and as Agri Beef's vice president, treasurer and corporate controller.
Stott has also been a member of the Superior Farms board since 2011.
He's a fifth-generation cattleman.
"I'm very excited to join Superior Farms and the lamb industry," Stott said. "Through my involvement as a director, I've had the opportunity to become familiar with the company, the industry and its employee-owners. It will be an exciting and challenging opportunity."
Superior Farms, founded in 1963, bills itself as North America's largest processor and marketer of lamb. It employs about 400 nationwide.
