This may be Sacramento's "Year of Food," as proclaimed by Mayor Kevin Johnson. But as long ago as John Sutter's arrival here in 1839, Sacramento's fertile land and waterways have been a historical plexus for food, beverages, restaurants, chefs and global shipping of all that grows here.
