Health and technology employers led the way in Sacramento online job postings in April, according to the latest report from the state's Employment Development Department.
Sutter Health and Dignity Health held the top two spots in the EDD's "help wanted online" report for April, posting more than 1,200 ads between them.
Intel, with more than 350 posts; Kaiser Permanente, with 259 ads; and Hewlett-Packard's 190 posts filled out the top five, while home improvement retailer Home Depot's 128 posts were good for No. 6.
Among the top occupations regional employers are seeking: registered nurses, computer systems analysts, computer support specialists and Web developers.
Retail sales staff, office and retail supervisors, customer service representatives, tractor-trailer drivers, and wholesale and manufacturing sales representatives also were in demand in April, according to the EDD's report.
As in March's report, demand for temporary hires appears strong, with staffing firms Randstad, Aerotek, Volt and Soliant among the 10 employers with the most job ads.
