• Working OT: The River Cats lost 2-1 to the Tacoma Rainiers in 14 innings on Monday night at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, Wash., in a 4 1/2-hour marathon.

• Game winner: Tacoma's Abraham Almonte hit a walk-off RBI single.

• Controversy reigns: In the bottom of the seventh, Tacoma's Brandon Bantz hit a game-tying solo home run that nearly hooked foul. River Cats manager Steve Scarsone and pitching coach Rick Rodriguez were ejected for arguing the call.

• Today: River Cats RHP Travis Banwart (2-2, 5.45 ERA) vs. Tacoma RHP Andrew Carraway (6-1, 2.98), 11:30 a.m., Cheney Stadium, Tacoma.
