The National Weather System has revised its hot weather forecast for Friday and Saturday, but triple-digit heat is still in the plans.
A strong high-pressure system is forecast to dig into Northern California this afternoon, the start of a brief but sizzling two days of very high temperatures.
Earlier in the week, the forecast called for a high of 105 for Friday and 109 on Saturday in Sacramento. The forecast today called for 104 on Friday and 106 on Saturday. (Story continues below video)

Today: Sunny, with a high near 93. West southwest wind around 7 mph.
Tonight: Clear, with a low around 62. South wind 7 to 10 mph.
Friday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 104. South southwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming northwest in the morning.
Friday night: Clear, with a low around 69. West southwest wind 5 to 9 mph.
Saturday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 106. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.
Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 64.
