Avison Young, a Canadian commercial real estate services firm, has opened an office in downtown Sacramento.

The office at Park Tower, 980 Ninth St., Suite 350, is Toronto-based Avison Young's 32nd outside Canada and its eighth in California.

"Sacramento is a key market as we expand our business in Northern California. Besides being the hub of state government, Sacramento is also home to some of our key West Coast clients," said Earl Webb, Avison Young's president of U.S. Operations.

Roger Bilstad has been named executive vice president of Property Management Services, Northern California, and Tom McEfee is senior vice president of that group. Avison Young said six members of its Northern California team came over from Colliers International in Sacramento.
