Re "Who is minding the store of secret government data?" (Editorials, June 11): So it's really all the fault of contractors and private enterprise? Nice try.
There would have been no private contracting at all if the U.S. government -- including the Obama administration -- had not instituted and continued an enormous secret surveillance program, of doubtful effectiveness and questionable legality, hoarding information that is all too easy to use for political purposes.
A squirrelly kid who can't keep his mouth shut doesn't scare me. But I'm just plain terrified of a government that inquires into the contents of my prayers.
