Re "Roseville lays down law on police union" (Editorials, May 31): I am a Roseville police officer, and want to thank the hundreds of residents who spoke against the City Council voting to impose a contract on our police officers, instead of continuing to negotiate with us for fair pay and benefits.
Even though our officers were supportive of paying more for our pensions, the council voted to drastically cut our pay and benefits. They did this in such a disrespectful manner, imposing on us in a last-minute meeting. Still, the council chamber was filled with residents supporting our officers. A big thank you to all of the citizens who stood up for us. Your support means a great deal.
