Five lessons from last week:

• If ESPN loves anything more than a Yankees-Red Sox game, it's Tim Tebow doing pretty much anything.

• Dodgers rookie Yasiel Puig has a nose for baseball, and apparently it's very resilient.

• As far as Notre Dame is concerned, national letters of intent are signed with indelible ink.

• The calendar says A's starter Bartolo Colon turned 40 last month, but his ERA is not even 3.

• Phil Mickelson is incapable of playing a dull round of golf.
