The California Public Records Act deserves support

Re "Push to alter records law" (Page A1, June 20): The California Public Records Act was originally put into play to give the state government more transparency possibly because of past transgressions.

The government's transparency is the people's oversight of the government. It is time for the people of California to stick up for their rights. If they wanted to improve the CPRA, they need to change the return request time from 10 days to 15 days. That would be an improvement. Government wants all the rights and wants the people to have none.
