Natomas Rose Garden's party will go on – with a new fountain as its centerpiece.

Pottery World in Rocklin donated a new 6-foot ceramic fountain to replace the one destroyed by vandals the night of June 10 at the garden, adjacent to the South Natomas Community Center.

According to volunteer coordinator Marni Leger, the new fountain will be hooked up and in place by June 30, the original date of a fountain dedication and garden dance party.

That party appeared in doubt when volunteers discovered the original fountain toppled, with an estimated $5,000 in damage to the garden.

The public is invited to the fountain dedication at 6 p.m. June 30, followed by a tango dance. The event is free, but donations will be welcome.

A popular site for weddings and other celebrations, the all-volunteer Natomas Rose Garden is at 2921 Truxel Road.
