Re "Feds' power reined in on voting rights law" Page A1, June 26): The Roberts court earned its place in infamy with its decision in the Citizens United case, allowing corporations to buy elections with unlimited contributions to political candidates and causes.
It has reinforced its reputation as the worst supreme court in history by gutting affirmative action and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. These decisions are based on false premises that voter discrimination has been largely eliminated. They are destined to cripple our democracy if not destroy it.
The five majority justices are intelligent, highly educated men, so they are bound to know the consequences of these decisions. Their only motivation as suggested by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg must be hubris.
