Fireworks over lake Saturday will cap early Independence Day celebration

Cameron Park will get a jump on Fourth of July festivities Saturday with the community's 14th annual Summer Spectacular at Cameron Park Lake.

Gates will open at 2 p.m. and the event will conclude with an evening fireworks show over the lake.

Entertainment will include music by Relic 45 and the Kenny Frye Band. The event also will feature crafts, exhibitors, a children's zone, food and beverages.

Pre-sale wristbands are $3 and are available at the El Dorado Food Bank, Cameron Park Walgreens, Bel Air, Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Chamber of Commerce and the Cameron Park Community Services District office. Admission at the gate Saturday is $5, cash only.

A percentage of the pre-sales will go to the El Dorado Food Bank.
