Re "Legislature urged to wear pink for Texas senator" (The Buzz, June 28): My daughter sent me an e-mail picture of my 17-month-old-granddaughter.
In the picture, my little granddaughter is sticking out her right foot. On her foot is a pink tennis shoe. Pink used to symbolize the innocents of a baby girl. On the same day, I read the article in which Senator Noreen Evans has called on other pro-abortion politicians to wear pink shoes in a show of solidarity in support of Texas Sen. Wendy Davis.
Pink now symbolizes aborted fetuses. How ironic, or tragic, that the political party that claims to stand for the people is so heartless when it comes to unborn children. Think about that the next time you see a baby girl wearing pink shoes laughing in a playground with her mom.
