The June 16 edition of The Sacramento Bee was a great example of why we need newspapers. The Bee had in-depth stories on Dixon and that community's problems with Carissa Carpenter, a close look at the powerful Calderon family, and a sad story about Fresno and the problems associated with living in the southern San Joaquin Valley.
In addition there were many more features a reader cannot find in any other medium. I hope we always have newspapers, but I am fearful of their demise. To get the whole story a community requires a good newspaper. Keep up the good work.
