El Dorado Hills-based Velocity Venture Capital will kick off its fourth annual Entrepreneurs Showcase on Monday at Serrano Country Club in El Dorado Hills.
The yearlong program, designed to identify and support new technology companies in the greater Sacramento region, is run in collaboration with the National Venture Capital Association and the Kauffman Fellows Program.
"We've had high caliber companies selected during the first couple of years, and we're looking forward to the next batch," said Jack Crawford, general partner at VVC.
Monday's gathering includes a golf tournament with startups presenting to angel investors at each tee box and a presentation of "Angel Training 101," an overview of investing for individuals and angel investment groups.
Various events are scheduled through December, when CEOs of 10 selected regional startups will pitch their companies to more than 300 business leaders and prospective investors.
