Highlight: Alfredo Marte hit a three-run homer during a four-run fourth inning, and rehabbing Juan Rivera had three hits to lead the Reno Aces past the River Cats 8-1 on Friday night at Raley Field.

Green is red hot: River Cats second baseman Grant Green has six consecutive milti-hit games (15 for 27) with nine extra-base hits – six doubles and three homers.

Stolen bases galore: River Cats first-base coach Rickey Henderson (1,406) and the Aces manager and third-base coach Brett Butler (558) combined to steal 1,964 bases in the major leagues.

Home-run feats: River Cats players have had six two-homer games, five grand slams, five back-to-back homers and once had back-to-back-to-back homers. What they haven't had is a walk-off home run.

Magic number 6: The River Cats don't have a winning record this season when scoring five runs or fewer and don't have a losing record when scoring six runs or more.

Byrd goes on DL: To make room on the roster for Dan Straily, the River Cats' Darren Byrd was placed on the disabled list.

Today: River Cats LHP Andrew Werner (7-9, 5.83 ERA) vs. Reno LHP Tyler Skaggs (5-6, 4.79), 7:05 p.m., Raley Field.
