Highlight: On a day when it was reported that the Arizona Diamondbacks were willing to trade top prospect Tyler Skaggs, the left-hander allowed no runs and four hits and struck out 13 in 8 1/3 innings to lead the Reno Aces past the River Cats 1-0 on Saturday night at Raley Field.

New position: Jemile Weeks played center field for the first time in his pro career. The River Cats' leadoff hitter, who has been a second baseman, also has played shortstop for the first time this season.

Whiffs galore: The River Cats struck out 15 times for the second consecutive game.

Streak stopped: With the loss, the River Cats' streak of 19 months of playing better than .500 baseball ended.

Parrino/Taylor streaks: Entering the game, the River Cats' Andy Parrino had a season-high five-game hitting streak and Michael Taylor a season-high seven-game hitting streak. Parrino extended his; Taylor didn't.

Today: River Cats RHP Bruce Billings (9-4, 4.46 ERA) vs. Reno Aces RHP Charlie Brewer (3-7, 5.56), 6:05 p.m., Raley Field.
