Tyreke Evans continues to wait for the Kings to make him an offer that tops the New Orleans Pelicans' offer sheet of four years, $44 million.

Evans is returning to Sacramento from Los Angeles today and will mull over whether to accept the New Orleans' offer sheet, which the Kings could match because he is a restricted free agent.

Sources close to Evans said he is waiting to see if the Kings will make an offer that's bigger than the Pelicans offer after ending their pursuit of Andre Iguodala.

That's likely all it would take for Evans to decline New Orleans' offer.

The Kings were fearful Iguodala would use them as leverage to land a bigger deal from another team and that's led him not to commit to Sacramento, according to sources.

Evans would like to remain with the Kings, but if the team do not make him an offer, look for Evans to sign the Pelicans' offer sheet on July 10. Sacramento will then have three days to match the offer sheet.
