The good: 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick celebrating the Fourth of July with friends, wearing shorts, no shirt with that physique, why bother? and a baseball cap.
The bad: IT WAS A MIAMI DOLPHINS CAP!!!!
The ugly: Other than typing in capital letters? Masses of fans filling the social media morass with whiny posts about what a scoundrel Kaepernick is for wearing non-49ers gear. It makes one wish for common-sense tests for people who want Twitter privileges.
More good: Tim Lincecum pitching seven strong innings Monday against the New York Mets, striking out a season-high 11 while walking only one.
The bad: The sixth inning, an increasingly predictable midgame bugaboo for Lincecum. This time, shaky defense contributes to two runs and a blown Giants lead.
The ugly: The Mets scoring the winning run on a 16th-inning error by shortstop Brandon Crawford, who saved a run earlier in the game with a diving stop and ferocious throw to first.
Final good: DeMarcus Cousins, 6-foot-11, 270 pounds; age 22; averaged 20 points and 11 rebounds during the 2012-2013 season.
The bad: He played in 75 games but was not on the court at the end of eight of those 11 percent because he fouled out or was ejected. And he led the league in technical fouls.
The ugly: The team's prospects with someone else playing center.
Does it bother you that Colin Kaepernick was seen wearing a Dolphins cap?
Yes, he should wear a 49ers cap.
A little bit, but I know what he'll wear this fall.
No, it's just a cap, nothing more.
