Highlight: The River Cats scored in the top of the first inning on a Scott Moore RBI double, but they could not overcome host Colorado Springs' five-run third and three-run fourth innings, losing 8-3 Wednesday.

More for Moore: Moore delivered his third straight multi-hit game, going 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs. For the series, he went 7 for 13 with five RBIs, increasing his batting average from .273 to .286.

Choice is clear: With the call-ups of Grant Green and Sonny Gray to the A's, Sacramento's lone All-Star is Michael Choice, who went 1 for 4 against the Sky Sox, boosting his average to .290.

Today: River Cats RHP Bruce Billings (9-4, 4.26 ERA) vs. Fresno LHP Eric Surkamp (2-0, 2.45), 7:05 p.m., Raley Field.
