Re "Stakes high in water talks" (Page A1, July 15): In the public meeting, David Sunding, a State Water Resources Control Board consultant, compared the Bay Delta Conservation Plan to nothing more than fixing a foundation of a house, so one can't expect fancy bathrooms and kitchen from such a renovation. BCDP would only maintain the status quo, meeting the water demand of Southern California but leaving the ever-growing water shortage unsolved.
I buy his analogy except that he wants to strengthen his house by bulldozing my house.
