Cal Expo officials hope to have the State Fair monorail back in operation this afternoon.
A monorail lost power about 4 p.m. Wednesday, stranding 38 passengers who had to be rescued by firefighters using a cherry-picker and a ladder truck.
Early today, personnel from the Cal/OSHA Amusement Ride Division conducted a preliminary review of the train car that stalled. A report on why the monorail came to a stop Wednesday has not been released.
