Sacramento Professional Soccer unveiled the name and color scheme of the city's USL Pro league franchise at Raley Field Thursday evening after the first exhibition match between the Sacramento All-stars and the San Jose Earthquakes reserve team.

The name of the USL Pro league in Sacramento will be the Sacramento Republic FC. Their logo is a red star in a brown badge with a banner reading "Republic FC" going over the lower half of the badge. A bear is beneath the banner with "Urbs Indomita" (The Indomitable City) inscribed beneath the bear. The logo and colors of the team are representative of the state's colors and symbols. This spring, Sacramento Pro Soccer reached out to fans to choose the team's nickname and colors.

Sacramento Pro Soccer announced Predrag Radosavlijevic as the head coach for the new club on July 15.

The Sacramento Republic FC will play its games at Sacramento City College's Hughes Stadium for the 2014 season.
