Re "Lawmakers call NSA program 'outrageous' " (Page A8, July 18): How can Congress investigate the National Security Agency's data-gathering abuses when all the NSA has to do is press a button and have access to all the email, phone records, financial dealings, and web surfing history of every member of the investigating committees?
This is clearly a dangerous abuse of power. We have to repeal much of the ill-conceived Patriot Act. Gee, Maybe Edward Snowden is a hero after all.
