Magazine cover on Boston bombing suspect is no big deal

Re "Bomb suspect as rock star sparks fury" (Page A6, July 18): Why is outrage hurled at Rolling Stone Magazine for its cover photo and sympathetic article about the alleged Boston Marathon bomber? The tone of the article is consistent with this publication's political slant and should merit the same consideration given to a piece in a tabloid.

There is no reason to be concerned about the photo or content unless one assumes the general public lacks the ability to think critically, in which case we have a much more serious problem than an unpopular magazine article.
