In 2006, Jon Bon Jovi and Jennifer Nettles hit No. 1 on the country music charts with "Who Says You Can't Go Home."

Who says you can't go home?

There's only one place they call me one of their own,

Just a hometown boy, born a rolling stone,

Who says you can't go home?

A year from now, is that what LeBron James will be asking?

The Internet was atwitter last week with speculation that James, who led the Heat to its second NBA title in his three seasons with the team, will return to Cleveland, near his hometown of Akron, when he becomes a free agent after next season.

The Cavaliers have been awful since James announced on "The Decision" on ESPN that he was leaving to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami, but they're slowing assembling what could be an impressive team.

They have an exciting young backcourt (Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters), and they added No. 1 draft pick Anthony Bennett of UNLV, Jarrett Jack, Earl Clark and Andrew Bynum in the past month.

If Bynum is healthy and plays the way he did two seasons ago for the Lakers – and coach Mike Brown, now his coach in Cleveland – the Cavaliers could be back in the playoff hunt.

But would that be enough to lure James, who likely will be pursued by every large-market team in the league?

If James decides to go home, one thing seems certain: It won't be announced on "The Decision II" on ESPN.
