Cats glance: Taylor's grand slam powers 10-2 victory

• Highlight: Michael Taylor hit his second grand slam of the season and had his fourth five-RBI game, and Andy Parrino and Jemile Weeks added homers as the host River Cats downed the Colorado Springs Sky Sox 10-2 on Monday night.

• New starter: Darren Byrd made his first start this season for the River Cats after 20 relief appearances. Byrd threw three shutout innings.

• Vogt honored: River Cats catcher Stephen Vogt was named the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week. He was 11 for 18 with two doubles, three homers and 11 RBIs last week in four games against Salt Lake.

• Roster move: Left-hander Shaeffer Hall, who picked up the win in relief, was transferred from Advanced-A Stockton to the River Cats by the A's before the game.

• Today: River Cats LHP Andrew Werner (8-12, 6.23 ERA) vs. Colorado Springs RHP Jeff Manship (5-7, 5.27), 7:05 p.m., Raley Field.
