Highlight: Michael Choice collected three hits with a home run, but the River Cats lost to host Las Vegas 9-4 Saturday night at Cashman Field.

On fire: Choice, who finished 3 for 5 with a three-run home run, is hitting .520 over his last six games with two homers – including a grand slam on Friday. Wilton native David Freitas went 2 for 4 with an RBI, making him 4 for 8 with four RBIs in his two games since rejoining the River Cats from Double-A Midland.

Let's play two: The River Cats now prepare for their first doubleheader of the season this evening at Cashman Field. Game 1, set for 5:05 p.m., is the continuation of the May 6 game at Raley Field, so the River Cats will be the home team despite playing on the road. Cats left-hander Andrew Werner (9-12, 5.96 ERA) will take on right-hander Jacob deGrom (3-1, 3.00) in Game 1, and a River Cats starter to be determined will start opposite right-hander D.J. Mitchell (5-4, 7.52) in Game 2, a seven-inning affair.
