Re "Johnson wants MLS ally in Elk Grove" (Page B3, July 31): Elk Grove officials are planning to buy property in hopes of getting a pro soccer team.
Are they operating on the same hope that was to bring the mall for which taxpayers invested in the overpass?
Our city leaders recently purchased the rail yard property in Old Town and we have as yet to hear a plan. Our leaders spent nearly $1 million on plans for the civic center and then rejected the plan.
Do we have something to show for the way they have been spending our tax dollars? Is the method of spending by our leaders a path way to prosperity for residents?
