Kings open preseason exhibition schedule Oct. 7

The Kings will open their 2013 preseason exhibition schedule on Oct. 7 with a game against the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena in Oakland.

With the first two exhibition games on the road, new head coach Michael Malone will make his unofficial Sleep Train Arena debut Oct. 14 against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Rookie guards Ben McLemore and Ray McCallum will also make their Sacramento debuts.

The Kings will play three of their seven exhibition games at Sleep Train Arena. After opening up its home schedule against the Clippers, Sacramento hosts Phoenix on Oct. 17 and Golden State on Oct. 23.

The regular-season schedule will be announced Tuesday.


Oct. 7 at Golden State, 7:30 p.m.

Oct. 10 at Los Angeles Lakers (in Las Vegas), 7 p.m.

Oct. 14 vs. Los Angeles Clippers, 7 p.m.

Oct. 17 vs. Phoenix, 7 p.m.

Oct. 20 at Portland, 6 p.m.

Oct. 23 vs. Golden State, 7 p.m.

Oct. 25 at Los Angeles Clippers, 7:30 p.m.
