2 Sacramento lottery players find luck but don't hit Powerball jackpot

Three winners will share Wednesday's Powerball lottery jackpot of $448 million - the fourth largest in U.S. history.

As of Thursday morning, none of the winners - two in New Jersey and one in Minnesota - have come forward.

Some luck struck the Sacramento area though. Two players earned a cool $289,341 after hitting five of the correct numbers, but not the Powerball. Those tickets were sold at the AM/PM on Fair Oaks Boulevard in Sacramento and the Camino Food Center in El Dorado County.

Seven other Californians were sold the same combination, and they are among the 4,051,006 players that won various amounts totaling more than $66.9 million.

By the 8 p.m. drawing, the jackpot swelled from a projected $425 million to $448 million. The winning numbers were 5-25-30-58-59 and Powerball 32.

The jackpot has been reset to $40 million and the next drawing is Saturday night.
