Forecasters predict warm, dry weather for Sacramento

Temperatures will remain near normal for mid-August all week, according to the National Weather Service.

Onshore flow continues, but the marine layer is increasingly more shallow. Forecasters predict high pressure to build throughout the week, which means warmer temperatures, dry air and clear skies.

Today's regional temperatures are expected to be similar to Sunday's readings, which were a high of 92 and a low of 59 in Sacramento.

Here's the 7-day forecast:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 89. South southwest wind 5 to 7 mph.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 58. South southwest wind 8 to 10 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 92. South southeast wind 5 to 9 mph.

Tuesday night: Clear, with a low around 58. South wind around 9 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 93. South southwest wind 5 to 8 mph.

Wednesday night: Clear, with a low around 60.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 90.

Thursday night: Clear, with a low around 60.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 89.

Friday night: Clear, with a low around 59.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 91.

Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 60.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 93.
