California Supreme Court: Unlicensed school personnel may administer insulin shots

A unanimous California Supreme Court ruled today that state law allows unlicensed school personnel to administer insulin in the absence of a nurse, reversing a Sacramento based appellate court and a Sacramento Superior Court judge.

The justices sent the case back to the 3rd District Court of Appeal in Sacramento for further proceedings based on its 26-page published opinion.
